It's confirmed news from Google that Core Web Vitals are becoming ranking signals for search results in May 2021. This will combine Core Web Vitals and previous UX-related signals.
Search signals for 'page experience' combines Core Web Vitals with the following:
1) Mobile Friendly
2) Safe Browsing
3) HTTPS
4) No Intrusive Interstitials
Precisely, the Core Web Vitals are defined as:
Largest Contentful Paint: The time it takes for a page's main content to load. An ideal LCP measurement is 2.5 s or faster.

New Labels in Google SERPs Soon
Google may soon rollout Labels in SERPs that indicate which results provide a good page experience. They will act as a visual indicators to identify pages that have met all of the page experience criteria mentioned in the table above.
If the testing is successful it will launch in May 2021 with the 'Page Experience' update. A recent study performed in August revealed less than 15% of sites are optimized fully to pass a Core Web Vitals test.
Since the announcement made public by Google, Site owners appear to be working hard to prepare their pages for the 'Page Experience' signal.
Site owners can use Search Console's Core Web Vitals report to identify opportunities for improvement in their site metrices.
Google recommends Site owners to optimize their properties for AMP as it will be an easy and cost-effective way to pass through 'page experience' signal.
Google Top Stories May Have Non-AMP Content
Google also added in its announcement that Non-AMP pages could become eligible for Top Stories Carousel from May 2021, condition if they meet the Google News content policies, and if they offer a superior 'page experience'.
Finally, the support for AMP content in SERPs will continue to be same.
